What does your IRS letter actually mean?
Type the notice code from the top right corner of the letter. You’ll see what it means, how urgent it is, and what we’d do first.
General information only. The deadline printed on your own letter is the one that counts. Got a letter from your state instead? Book a free review and we’ll read it with you.
Your taxes go in two directions.

What you won’t hear from us.
Tax relief has a reputation problem. Here’s how we work instead.
Most people don’t qualify for an Offer in Compromise. We run the IRS’s own numbers before recommending one, and tell you straight if it won’t work.
The only deadline that matters is the one on your IRS letter. We help you meet it without pressure tactics.
Nobody can. We get you into a resolution the IRS accepts, then plan ahead so you stay out of trouble.
You work with the same person from the first call to the last, and you can reach them directly.

People the IRS writes to, and people who’d rather it never did.
Hi, I’m Samira Mahzad.
I founded Saveward Tax for people who open an IRS letter and feel their stomach drop, and for anyone who suspects they’re paying more tax than they need to.
I’ve spent decades in finance and business, and I hold two master’s degrees, in Engineering and in Business Finance. That mix shapes how I work: I solve tax problems like an engineer, and I plan like someone who has watched how money moves through a business over many years.
As an IRS Enrolled Agent, I’m federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS, so I can speak with them for you. I help individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners resolve tax debt, set up the right business structure, prepare their returns and find every legitimate way to pay less.
Good tax work goes beyond filing on time. It means planning ahead, understanding your goals, and giving you clear answers so you can make confident decisions about your money.
Asked every week.
Can you stop a wage garnishment or bank levy?
Often, yes. The IRS usually releases a levy once you’re in an approved payment plan, have an Offer in Compromise under review, or show that the levy causes economic hardship. The sooner we start, the more options there are.
Do I qualify for an Offer in Compromise?
The IRS accepts an offer when it believes it can’t collect the full balance, based on your income, expenses and assets. We run that calculation before recommending an offer, so you don’t pay for one that would be rejected.
I haven’t filed in years. Is it too late?
No. The IRS generally asks for the last six years of returns to bring you back into good standing. We prepare the missing years, then work out what’s owed and how to pay it.
Do I have to talk to the IRS myself?
No. Once you sign a power of attorney (IRS Form 2848), we can speak with the IRS for you, request your records and negotiate on your behalf.
Do you help with state tax problems?
Yes, in all 50 states. We handle state back taxes, payment plans, levies, liens, unfiled state returns and audits. Each state has its own rules and programs, and we’ll tell you which apply to you in your free review.
What’s the difference between resolution and planning?
Resolution fixes tax problems that already exist: balances, notices, liens and levies. Planning looks ahead and lowers the tax you’ll owe this year and next. Many clients start with one and stay for the other.
What does it cost?
Your first 15-minute review is free. After it, you get a flat fee quoted in writing before any work begins, based on your situation, so there are no hourly bills and no surprises. If you go ahead, that’s the price you pay for the work we agreed on.
